This beautiful bow themed wedding styled shoot was created by Michelle from oso events. The shoot was hosted at Webster Hall in San Francisco. The vendor team put their spin on the trendy bow theme, creating a sophisticated, modern take that blended the contemporary elements with French style. We incorporated the bow details subtly yet intentional, offering just the right amount without feeling overdone.
For more of a modern take on the bow trend we’ve been seeing all over social media, we incorporated ikebana-style florals paired with lemons. This unique combination added a light and fresh take to this old world charm of the venue. The unique florals and citrus found in the arrangements added a playful contrast while maintaining the romantic vibe of the overall design.
The stationery details I created for this shoot were menus, handwritten calligraphy place cards, table number, and a bar sign. I added gold touches to the menus to tie into the gold flatware and for a pop of shine. Rather than tented place cards, I created a contrasting silhouette on the menus. That provided visual interest and detail. I created oval vellum place cards with a custom bow illustration to match the theme. Gold handwritten calligraphy to elevate the details.
Incorporating the bow theme into the design along with the unexpected styles of the florals worked so well together. It allowed the design to feel fresh, romantic, and modern.
