Custom menus, place cards, and other stationery pieces created for a summer wedding at California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco

Andrea and Frank celebrated their love in a beautiful wedding at the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco. Jackie, from Jackie Rose Events, designed and planned this stunning event. It showcased the couple’s personality and style, brought to life with stunning florals and intentional details. I created the wedding stationery and signage for their reception and cocktail hour.

The California Academy of Sciences served as both the ceremony and reception venue. The choice of this unique venue set the tone for a wedding that was fun, sophisticated, and romantic. The florals and greenery brought the indoor-outdoor feel to life, transforming the space into a stunning evening celebration.

Color Palette and Decor

The wedding color palette featured mainly white and green, accented by ivory, coral pinks, and neutral browns. Details in black and gold added a modern touch, enhancing the overall aesthetic. The decor was thoughtfully designed to create a cohesive and elegant look, with custom illustrated florals on the menus to match the napkins and other stationery pieces. The welcome sign featured the floral designs and the couple’s names written in calligraphy – making it a wonderful keepsake piece.

The florals played a significant role in transforming the space, with carefully curated arrangements that highlighted the venue’s beauty.

The stationery pieces and signage I created perfectly complemented the overall aesthetic. The menus, table numbers, and bar signs all featured consistent floral illustrations, enhancing the wedding’s cohesive look. To differentiate the guests’ meal preferences, we chose to use different colored card stock, blending beautifully with the tablescape.

This intentionality in design highlights the unique contributions made to the wedding, ensuring that every detail was perfect and personal.

This wedding was not just a celebration of love but also a testament to the beauty of thoughtful planning and design. Andrea and Frank’s wedding at the California Academy of Sciences will be remembered as a perfect blend of modern elegance and classic romance.
