Engraved Wedding Favors Guests Will Sip and Savor

Jun 18

You’ve probably heard it before: “Wedding favors are dead,” or “Don’t waste your money on things people will leave behind.” But here’s the truth—wedding favors aren’t dead. They just needed a glow-up. And that’s exactly where live personalization steps in. Make room for engraved wedding favors!

Nancy Huang – Your go-to live engraver and calligrapher

Hi, I’m Nancy, your go-to artist for live calligraphy and engraving events for corporate brands and wedding clients. I don’t just make things pretty, I create an immersive experience that leaves a lasting impression. I specialize in calligraphy, engraving, hot foiling, and painting on various surfaces, from leather goods and glass to wood and metal. Gone are the days of generic keychains or mini succulents your guests forget on the table. Today’s couples want more than just favors—they want interactive moments that feel intentional and luxurious.

Here’s why engraved wedding favors are having a moment:

  • A Personalized Experience: Guests get to choose what they want engraved—whether it’s their name, initials, or a meaningful word. It’s not just a favor; it’s a custom keepsake they had a hand in creating.
  • Built-in Entertainment: While you’re off taking golden hour portraits, I’m set up engraving glassware or painting names in real time. It keeps guests engaged during cocktail hour and reception.
  • Instagrammable Moments: Let’s face it—people love sharing unique experiences. Watching calligraphy or engraving happen live? Major photo op.
  • No More Meaningless Clutter: Guests leave with something useful and beautiful, not something destined for a junk drawer.

A Real Wedding with Real Reactions

At Tara and Bernard’s intimate San Francisco wedding, we offered live engraving and painting on brandy snifters and champagne glasses — a luxurious, personal touch that doubled as their guest favors. With a smaller guest count, we were able to take our time and offer both services on-site.

And the response? Pure joy.

“Nancy was sweet and professional at my wedding! Three weeks later and people still won’t stop talking about their glasses! Thank you so much for making my wedding unforgettable!”

Wedding Engraving FAQs

Do you engrave at weddings outside of San Francisco Bay Area?

Yes! I serve wedding clients in the Bay Area and worldwide. My equipment is light and minimal, so it makes traveling easy!

What can you engrave?

I can engrave almost any surface! Most glass, metal, stone, wood and plastic. We can chat about the favor and I will suggest the best service for that surface.

I have a large guest count, can you still offer this service?

Absolutely. I am well-equipped to handle high volumes with my experience working large corporate events and weddings. I always have an assistant to ensure a seamless experience for your guests. Depending on the guest count, I can also bring a team of trusted artists.

When should I book a live engraver?

I recommend reaching out at least 5-6 months prior to your wedding, especially if your date is during peak wedding season. This will allow us plenty of time to curate and source your favor, and plan the logistics of your wedding timeline.

Let’s Make Magic at Your Wedding

If you’re going to spend money on wedding favors, make it count. Choose something meaningful, interactive, and unforgettable. Engraved wedding favors aren’t just gifts—they’re a live art performance, a keepsake, and a memory all in one.
